This quote by Ezra means that when you decide to do the wrong thing you will feel bad and you could not feel good even if you try. When he said this he meant that if you had two options, for example if you were to find a wallet with one thousand dollars it will feel nice to have all that money right? yes it will some may say but you did not work for that money what if the owner was going to buy medicine for his sick mom that was dying? But on the way to the hospital he dropped his wallet, Or maybe he was going to donate all to charity? But he dropped his wallet by accident, if you knew all that and you still took the wallet you would not feel happy or proud you will feel guilty because "You cannot do the wrong and feel right" and the right thing to do is look for the owner of the wallet or you could find a authority and they could look for the owner and when you return that wallet you will then feel right. This quote is very important to me because i do not want to be proud of something bad i did , i would instead want to be proud of something i did.
