The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity, (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.” Dr. Laura Schlesinger

What Dr Laura is trying to say is that the biggest reward that you can possibly get is the feeling of choosing the right. For example if you see a homeless man and his shoes are ripped he barely has any food or water, and you look at yourself and you have 200 dollar Jordan's you eat expensive food and you are going to the store  with more money that you are going to need you could give the man some money. If you do that than you will feel good for the rest of the day but if you don't than you will feel guilty for a long time. Even if you don't get anything in return you should still give or help others because having the satisfaction of helping someone is better than feeling guilty for not being nice enough. Another example would be if you have a vacation and you are bored out of your mind then you can be productive and go help out a homeless shelter. You will get the satisfaction of have helped others. My point is it never hurts to help out once in awhile so do it it will feel good.
